Restorative yoga is based on its root word “rest”. The intention of this class is to use the support of bolsters, blankets, and blocks to give your body the effect of certain yoga poses – back-bends, twists, forward folds — without using any muscle exertion. It is intended to be a slow, peaceful, and meditative practice. Before you log-in for class pull together your props that you’ll need: yoga mat, 3 pillows, 3 yoga blocks, 3 blankets, a yoga strap and a towel to cover your eyes. Anything from around your house will work, for example you can use bed pillows, couch pillows, a belt instead of a strap. Get ready to reward yourself with peace, serenity, and restfulness.
