An all level vinyasa practice with slow, deliberate movements bring a depth of mindfulness and intimacy back into today’s world of ‘Vinyasa’. Inviting a new intimate relationship to breath and movement into our practice, we begin to move away from automated and mechanical practice. As we remember that the practice of yoga lives in the present moment and is reborn with every breath we begin to reflect and connect to the practice of living yoga and we create space for Spirit and Prayer.
From time-to-time this class may present options for arm-balances and inversions but only with the awareness and reflection of the energy we create in these postures.
About your teacher: Troy was born in Trinidad & Tobago and lives in a treehouse on the north coast where he is constantly being reminded that Prana (the life force that connects and flows through all life) is very real. Troy’s teaching brings a fresh and powerful dimension into today’s yoga class that helps bridge the gap between the pure essence of Yoga and today’s disconnected world through mindful, intentional movements. At the foundation of his teaching is one’s relationship to breath through which students discover what it means to live in the present moment and live from a place of love. Troy currently studies the linage of Krishnamacharya and has been blessed with the guidance and inspiration of amazing teachers, including: Ryan Leier, Seane Corn, Father Joe Pereira (Iyengar Yoga), Baron Baptiste, Srivatsa Ramaswami (Vinyasa Krama), Leslie Kaminoff, Jess Robertson, and Ted Grand.
