Power Yoga is a rhythmic, dynamic and fluid asana practice that builds muscle strength and joint mobility. Based on the Baptiste JOURNEY INTO POWER sequence, this 45 minute class utilizes repetition, variation and adaptation as an access to an awakened kinesthetic awareness and functional strength. Expect to sweat and meet the challenge of this robust movement practice that will
leave you feeling stronger physically, mentally rinsed and spiritually inspired.

All levels of yoga experience are welcome! The JIP sequence encourages adaptation as a vehicle for self study. Resting in child’s pose whenever needed is not only recommended but encouraged. This is a practice not just for anyone but everyone!

  • Class Level: All Levels welcome
  • Class Length: 45 minutes
  • Ease/Intensity: Vigorous – prepare to breathe hard, have your heart rate up, and get sweaty
  • Props: a yoga mat, one or two blocks, a towel, water and a passion for challenge and growth.
  • Class Meets: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

Yin Yoga supports and strengthens the Yin aspects of the body (connective tissue, ligaments and tendons) as well as enhancing and aligning the more subtle aspects of the body’s energy as it relates to Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Meridian system. The practice of Yin Yoga also “exercises” our mindful awareness muscle, increasing our capacity to be calm and present in the moment. Gain more ease and freedom in daily movement as result of this quiet, mediative practice.

  • Class Level: All Levels welcome
  • Class Length: 60 minutes
  • Ease/Intensity: Gentle – slow sustained movements on mat
  • Props: Blocks (books are great alternatives), firm pillow or bolster (rolled up towels are great alternatives)
  • Class Meets: Fridays

About Your Teacher: Alice Riccardi has been a student of yoga for 21 years and a teacher for 19. She is a 500 hour certified Baptiste Power Yoga teacher and an established E-RYT through Yoga Alliance. Alice came to the practice of yoga at the ripe age of 42, one year after her daughter Sophia was born. Her teaching style is inclusive, strong and compassionate. She believes in the power of the practice as a path to transformation, not just for anyone, but for everyone.
