We’ve likely all heard an instructor say “scoop up through the belly”, or “round through the spine” but how many of us really know why it is important? Doing this seemingly simple (but not easy) movement, present in so many Pilates exercises is the key to improving the mobility in our spine. We call it the C-curve.
In this workshop, Jayne and Barb will help students explore the C-curve in the upper, middle, and lower spine. We’ll work on all of the classical Pilates exercises that involve this important spinal articulation such as Rollback, Roll-up, Rolling like a Ball, Spine Stretch Forward, Saw, and Teaser.
By the end of the class, students will have a better understanding of how to activate spinal mobility in their own bodies. Come enjoy a great workout, while improving posture and core strength.
Camera On Policy: 🎥 We require all students to have their camera ON for the duration of class. This is for a few reasons: for your safety, for the teacher to be able to teach clearly, and for the integrity of the class. This also ensures that our classes are a safe environment for all students!
