Take time to restore your body and soothe your mind. Restorative yoga is a yoga method using props and long holds in restful postures to open the body in a more passive way. This practice is designed to release deep-tissue tension, re-align the bones/joints within the body and to calm the nervous system, leaving us feeling more grounded, spacious and clear. We use props to creatively and comfortably support the body in each posture in order to facilitate relaxation and restoration. Restorative yoga is great for those healing from injury or illness.
Class Level: Beginner/All Levels
Ease/Intensity: Gentle, restful, passive
Props: Ideally 2 blocks (books or cans could work as an alternative), a bolster, strap, and blanket (couch pillows, belts or neck ties and towels are great substitutes)
